This class is perfect for people at the beginning of their long arm journey. We all see the perfect precise quilting and it’s sometimes frightening. Well in this class we will have fun with the imperfect quilting - embracing the circles, lines and leaves and their organic shapes.

Requirements:

* You will need a piece of background fabric in the size of your desired finished project - it can be a long cushion (25" x 13") square cushion (18"x18") or a wall hanging or table runner(16" x 40”). The background can be made out of one piece of fabric, or you can piece larger remnants together.

*  The background should be rather plain-ish - mottled patterns, batiks, colour on colour print etc. As for the colour you want either a light or a dark background, but not medium colour. You can choose any colour, but you need a very light version of it or a very dark as these will contrast well with any fabrics we will use on top as flowers and leaves.
*  If you decide to piece your background, which adds a bit more interest, you have to do that at home as we will not have the time to do this on the day. Choose the same coloured fabrics, just slightly different shades as in the picture on the right.

Fabric remnants for the flowers and leaves. These should again be rather plain-ish and they should contrast with your background fabric. You will need at least 2-3 colours for the leaves and about 3-4 colours for the flowers. But there is no upper limit on the colours - as you can see on the rainbow sample which has got around 13 different fabrics used. You can have the same fabric for leaves and flowers or mix and match them or stick to greens for leaves and your favourite colour for the flowers.

Threads to match your flowers and leaves fabrics and black thread.

Includes:

* Wadding and backing fabric will be preloaded on the frames. It will measure 1m x 45" so it will be sufficient for you to test the techniques and for your finished piece.

* A selection of Glide thread for you to use or bring your own threads to match your fabric choices.

* 0.5m of Steam a Seam 2
* Lunches and refreshment on course days
* One person per machine for machine sessions

Stitching is on a variety of machines. Please indicate which machine you would prefer when you book. However, being allocated to a specific machine cannot be guaranteed.

Accommodation and places to stay are shown on the confirmation email or visit our website page - scroll down for accommodation.

This event is for Handi Quilter Owners Only.  One of the reasons for purchasing from Pinhole Quilting is that we are Europe's leading longarm specialists and we offer an ongoing education programme with leading national and international quilt teachers.

We will have all machines in the Handi Quilter range at the this event, but we cannot guarantee you will be able to use the same type of machine that you have. For hands-on sessions, wherever possible we will try to match the machine you use to the one that you own.

We are delighted to once again present a premium training opportunity for our customers!
