The Pounce Pad is a quick way to mark your quilt top, even when itâs mounted on your frame. The reservoir (sealed by the BLUE stopper) is filled with the enclosed fine chalk powder. On the reverse a soft pad can be gently brushed over a stencil placed on the quilt top in the desired position. The fine chalk powder is dispensed between the stencil grooves and when the stencil is removed the chalk can be used as a guide for quilting.

This chalk does NOT iron off.  Blue chalk refills are available separately when required.

It's a wash off/ brush off chalk, depending on your fabric.

Although it's not supposed to stain fabric it's not possible to test every fabric in existence so you must test before using to be sure. You can wash it off in warm or cold water. If it's bouncing off which can happen on some long arm machines, or in other situations, try spraying ordinary aerosol hair spray over the just pounced pattern. The cheaper the better! It doesn't make it permanent but it does add to the level of adhesion on stubborn fabrics or when high vibrating machines are being used.

At Pinhole Quilting we advise caution with coloured chalk or powder and we absolutely say that you MUST test before you use it on your quilt.
