Use this strong magnet for checking the alignment of your longarm needle.

Getting the perfect needle alignment is important for good quality stitches.  This magnet will work on all Handi Quilter machines and any machine that uses an industrial needle with a groove down its length.

We've sourced these powerful cylindrical magnets to help you when you replace your needle.

With the needle at it's HIGHEST possible position follow the instructions below.

Place the magnet towards the top of the needle, directly on the groove.  The magnet will point where the groove is aligned.  It should be at the "6" position of a clock face, facing directly towards you. If it isn't you can leave the magnet in place while you loosen the needle clamp screw and turn the needle slightly to the left or right so that it's spot on.  

You have successfully aligned your needle!
