The Handi Feet Couching Kit includes three sizes of interchangeable couching feet: 1.5mm, 2mm, and 3mm. Youâll have just the right size foot for adding couched embellishments using a variety of specialty threads, fibers, and yarns to your quilt.
If your machine isnât already fitted with the Handi Feet mount, you need to purchase the Handi Feet Conversion kit to upgrade your machine to use the Handi Feet.

The most fun I've had since I first learned to drop my Feed-dogs & do FMQ.
It's so simple. Choose the correct size, from the three feet provided, for the thickness of yarn you are using. Follow the instructions to get the yarn through the small hole in the foot. Use a shortish stitch length, don't go too fast & let the yarn flow freely through the foot.
You can do outlines & meandering or you can couch densely so your shapes are filled in completely. Don't expect very sharp points to your designs & do expect a few yarn/thread jams to start with. Just take your time cutting the knotted blob out & restart. It's really that easy & in my infantile brain the results look amazing.
Not all yarns are suitable for couching, eg avoid Eyelash & slubby threads. The former has no core to stitch down securely & the fat or thin bits if the latter might jam in the foot or fail to be caught by the needle. You'll work out what works pretty quickly.
If you do miss a bit just go back after wards & restitch over it, no-one will notice.
