AM - How Do I Quilt It? Students can bring quilt tops for discussion/demonstration.

PM - Inktense your quilting with pre-stitched panels. Stained glass panels pre-stitched with black chenille. We focus on the fun in this session.

How Do I Quilt It? 

Don’t you just love it when a quilt pattern says “Quilt as desired”?!

How do you want to quilt it? There are so many decisions to make in the process that will not only quilt your quilt but enhance how it looks. 

Do you have a quilt that you would like to discuss how to quilt in class? Please bring it with you if so. Telene has a huge amount of experience and the “How Do I Quilt It” session is always so useful to everyone who takes part when discussing all the quilts, where we can learn from each other.

Stained Glass Inktense 

Create your own Inktense panel using the provided pre-stitched panel with a chenille stained glass design. 

The Derwent Inktense pencils create a colour-fast watercolour.

Derwent Inktense pencils are available in 100 highly pigmented, intensely vibrant ink-like colours. These watercolour pencils are permanent once fully dry, offering exceptional layering without moving previously dried layers, unlike traditional watercolours. 

Share Telene’s love for adding colour to a quilt without using the traditional piecing or applique techniques. Telene absolutely loves to do free motion quilting and adding pencil and paint to a quilt.  Step-by-step instructions

• Learn different techniques for applying the pencils including wet and dry methods and different types of medium for fixing.
• Students will each receive 2 pre-quilted panels of 6" x 10".
• A little bit of colour theory and a lot of inspiration!

Suitable for all levels.

Lunch will be provided.

By Plane: Fly into Birmingham International Airport. Trains from Birmingham International to Worcester Parkway take about one hour and run every hour. There is one change at Birmingham New Street. It may be possible to arrange a taxi or by prior arrangement we can pick you up. It is less than 15 minutes to our showroom from Worcester Parkway. We recommend you stay at a hotel in Pershore or Pinvin or at one of the Pub B&Bs in Upton Snodsbury or Flyford Flavell so that we can take you to the Showroom (we live close by).

By Car: It is 10 minutes drive from Junction 6 of the M5. There is plenty of free parking.

By Train: From the new Worcester Parkway it is 15 minutes (7 miles), Pershore BR Station is 5 minutes (1.6 miles). From Foregate or Shrub Hill in Worcester to our Showroom at Highgrove Farm is 20 minutes (10 miles).

All the classroom areas, eating and restrooms are on the ground floor and are wheelchair accessible. 

Cancellation

If there are insufficient numbers to run the event or for other circumstances where it is no longer possible, we may have to cancel it.

A refund is limited to the cost of the course that you have paid.

There are no refunds on this course. We would suggest that if you have other expenses such as hotels, flights, etc that you take out travel insurance in the event that you are ill, etc.
